Engagement workflow

A controlled path from scope to verification.

You know what is happening, why it is happening and what comes next at each stage.

01

Confirm scope

Agree the tenant, review areas, licensing context and stakeholders.

02

Authorise access

Establish suitable approved access with least-privilege principles.

03

Review posture

Assess the agreed identity, access and configuration areas.

04

Validate context

Review observations against licensing and operational requirements.

05

Build roadmap

Prioritise practical remediation steps, dependencies and quick wins.

06

Support change

Scope optional implementation assistance where it adds value.

Complementary service

Designed to complement infrastructure assessment.

A Microsoft 365 review examines selected cloud identity and configuration controls. It does not replace an external or internal vulnerability assessment of servers, endpoints and network infrastructure.

For businesses that rely heavily on Microsoft 365, combining these views can provide a more complete remediation plan across infrastructure and cloud identity.

Common questions

What to know before the assessment.

Do you need Global Administrator access?
Access requirements depend on the agreed review areas. Where tenant access is needed, the minimum suitable role and a time-limited access approach should be used. Requirements are confirmed before the engagement begins.
Can every Microsoft security control be reviewed?
No. Available controls and evidence depend on Microsoft licensing, tenant configuration and the approved scope. The proposal will describe what can be reviewed so there is no assumption that unavailable features were assessed.
Will you make changes during the review?
The base service is an assessment and remediation roadmap. Optional implementation assistance can be scoped separately, with change approval, responsibilities and rollback considerations agreed in advance.
Is this a full cloud penetration test?
No. It is a configuration and security posture review of agreed Microsoft 365 and Entra areas. It does not involve intrusive exploitation and is not represented as penetration testing.
Can this review help with cyber insurance questions?
It can provide a clearer view of controls such as MFA coverage, privileged roles and legacy authentication. Insurers set their own evidence requirements, so the review does not guarantee acceptance or policy terms.
